About the Academy
The Technique Academy is a full mind/body program that takes your child’s experience to the next level.
Meant only for the most dedicated young athletes – Academy training prepares your child for the next level of fitness and skill. The director creates an individual training regimen, monitors progress, and pushes your child to their fullest potential through goal setting, physical training and mental coaching. This is a 360-degree program – designed for the most committed athletes who are looking to challenge themselves, advance in their skills and obtain peak physical shape.
Athletes who are interested in The Technique Academy should complete an application by Sunday, May 01, 2022 to be eligible for any apparel, if included in their selected program level.
What May Be Included ...
Goal-Setting. Obtaining new skills is 75% mental and 25% physical. Athletes will meet set short-term and long-term goals at the beginning of the program.
Bootcamp Fitness & Flexibility Class. A themed, weekly group class that includes conditioning and flexibility. This class will build the athlete’s flexibility while teaching them to lengthen and strengthen muscles. Athletes will use breathing techniques to ease in to stretches and push themselves to build their flexibility.
Weekly 30-minute small group training. A consistent lesson, this is designed to improve and maintain technique while pushing the athlete’s individual skills in compulsory and power tumbling. During the lessons, the athletes will develop focus and consistently review their goals.
Monthly Skills Clinics. Athletes may attend all monthly level-appropriate tumbling clinics. Registration is required, but no additional fees will be required.
On-Demand Support. Athletes will spend this 8 weeks focusing on getting their bodies in peak physical condition, which will require accountability with hydration, wellness and exercise. While the daily workouts will not be mandatory, athletes are highly encouraged to complete 2-3 workouts per week on days they are not in classes or private lessons.
Exclusive Online Group. Immediate access to fitness and health coaches, your child’s private lesson coach, homework assignments, weekly training articles and athlete acknowledgement for milestones met.
