At Spirit Technique, we believe every child deserves access to quality after school programs—regardless of transportation limitations. Our transportation policy is designed to provide a safe, reliable, and transparent system that gives families peace of mind and keeps our students on track for success in both academics and athletics.

🔒 Safety is Our #1 Priority

Our transportation services are conducted in partnership with with a private transportation service that is a licensed and insured local provider that shares our commitment to excellence.

Commercial 15-passenger van maintained for safety and cleanliness
Licensed, background-checked driver with child safety training
Seatbelts required and enforced for all students
GPS tracking available upon request
Daily attendance logged at time of pickup and drop-off

🚌 Pick-Up Information for After School Transportation in Cordova - Memphis, TN

Transportation is currently available from:

Riverwood Elementary
Macon Hall Elementary
Cordova Elementary

Pickup is scheduled immediately following school dismissal. Transportation is only offered Monday through Friday during the school year, excluding school holidays, unplanned early dismissal days, and inclement weather closures.

💼 Enrollment & Fees

Transportation is an add-on service to our After School Program. Space is limited and must be reserved in advance.

Fee Options:

$35/week (per child), depending on total route volume
Billed alongside weekly/monthly tuition
Flexible payment options (weekly, monthly billing)

Note: Tuition does not include transportation unless explicitly selected at registration.

🚨 Parent Responsibilities

To ensure smooth and safe operations, families must:

Complete all transportation enrollment forms and waivers
Provide accurate emergency contact information
Keep Spirit Technique updated on any dismissal or absence changes
Ensure students understand and follow all van behavior expectations
Be reachable during transport hours in case of emergency

👧 Student Expectations & Bus Behavior

We expect all students to treat transportation time as part of the after school program. Behavior standards must be followed to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.

Students Must:

Remain seated and buckled during the entire ride
Use respectful language and inside voices
Keep hands, feet, and belongings to themselves
Follow directions from the driver at all times
Treat the vehicle with care—no food, trashing, or damaging seats

Any student engaging in unsafe or disrespectful behavior may be removed from transportation services temporarily or permanently.

⚠️ Behavior Policy & Consequences

To protect all riders, we have a zero-tolerance policy for:

Physical aggression (hitting, pushing, throwing objects)
Repeated refusal to stay seated or wear a seatbelt
Threatening language or verbal abuse
Vandalism of the vehicle
Interfering with the driver’s ability to operate safely

Consequences May Include:

Verbal warning
Written incident report
Parent conference
Temporary suspension from transportation
Permanent removal from transportation

Multiple minor incidents will result in progressive discipline. A single major safety violation may result in immediate removal.

Families that do not reserve transportation during registration are responsible for transporting their child to Spirit Technique for after school programming.
